So here I am, prim, proper and modest Muslim, ranked #18 on the Bacon Wikia... WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Nothing, actually. My introduction to bacon was a long time ago when I converted to Christianity for the sake of love. Foolish, yes, I know, but I discovered the joys of bacon and, like an alcoholic, struggle every day with the delicious temptation.

Allah is merciful and has given me the strength of will to endure, but Allah is also forgiving and knows that it is the heart what must be pure... even if the arteries leading to it must be chiseled open.

I don't judge anyone over their love of bacon; it is my weakness too.

Let's be weak together and be happy for a while. :)

    Rise up

    March 3, 2012 by BaconRanger

Only absolute idiots and baffoons don't love bacon. We shall reign. We are the bacon-lovers. There shall be peace and tranquility within us.We must not battle among ourselves, or our numbers shall fall. We must save ourselves to push back the real enemies. THE VEGETARIANS. They have been a threat to meat-lovers everywhere for centuries. I am surprised we have not destroyed them yet. We must form and alliance with all the other meat-lovers of the land. WE in particular must use our online skills to push them back. The internet is powerful, very powerful. We can do great things here, and we must. Anyone who doesn't help shall be shunned. They shall lose rank, respect, honor, and friends. Everybody needs to pitch in. I mean it.

Think about what it would be like without bacon. No crispy, fatty, juicy, bacon. I mean, what would we do without it? I don't think I could even eat breakfast without it. It is that good. I just wouldn't be able to do it. Eating breakfast without bacon is a dishonor to bacon! EAT BACON!!!

Bacon-lovers are often meat lovers in other ways, too. I know I like a warm, juicy roast turkey on Thanksgiving. Wrap that sucker in a basket-weave-style layer of bacon and you're making the most delicious bird Thanksgiving has ever seen.

We found this recipe here at the Runaway Spoon and I must say, this seems like the coolest thing a bacon lover could ever make for Thanksgiving.

Check out this link for the step-by-step recipe. The author is extremely thorough in explaining how to create this marvelous meal! It's a bacon-turkey fiesta!

Do you think you'll be making this for Thanksgiving, or are you a traditionalist? Comment below and tell us what you think!

"Everything is better with bacon." - Rachel (Actress pretending to work at KFC)

"No argument here Rachel." - Narrator of the commercial below, and everyone on the Bacon Wiki.

Ok, so maybe KFC's commercial for their new Cheesy Bacon Bowl doesn't make the most creditable claims. They say it "might be the world's best tasting full meal", which is a clear load of bunkum. However, the addition of bacon to their Famous Bowl (mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, fried chicken and cheese) to make it a Cheesy Bacon Bowl takes this meal about 10,000 places up the "World's Best Tasting Full Meal" rankings. The ideology behind this advertisement rings truer than the old Sanders family dinner bell.

When asked how to make the Famous Bowl recipe even more famous, …

It's easy to declare oneself a bacon lover, but do you truly qualify? Do you eat it for breakfast every morning? In your sandwiches at lunch? Have you invented at least 3 new ways to consume bacon? Do you frequently have dreams about surfing a giant bacon strip on a shimmering wave of bacon grease?

You still may not be a real bacon enthusiast even if you answered yes to all these questions. True bacon lovers don't just consume, they represent. What I'm trying to say is, you need a bacon t-shirt. Someday there will be Bacon Wiki shirts, and even bacon hats, shoelaces, and ties, but for now, we must settle for regular bacon t-shirts. My personal favorite is the classic Donuts and Bacon 2008 shirt (pictured at left), but I'm not sure if it can…

    Bacon Day is September 3

    August 30, 2011 by LexiLexi

Perhaps you're surprised (or not so surprised) to hear that bacon now has an international holiday called Bacon Day. No, you don't get off from school or work, but you won't have to, because Bacon Day is on a Saturday--specifically, September 3, 2011.

So, what does Bacon Day entail? For bacon fans (or in other words, fans of deliciousness), international Bacon Day is comprised of bacon-themed social gatherings, which include bacon drinks, entrees, desserts, and the like. Yes, you heard me--bacon drinks. If you're in the mood for some alcoholic beverages inspired by bacon, check out bacontoday for some cocktail recipes.

So, what are you doing on international Bacon Day? Throwing a bacon-themed party of hoglike proportions? Enjoying the strip …

    The Bacon Alarm Clock

    July 28, 2011 by Wagnike2

As bacon fanatics, we all fall asleep thinking about bacon. So why wouldn't we want to wake up to the same thing? The Wake N'Bacon Alarm Clock is a product that is aimed at helping us solve these goals and dreams. This Alarm clock is aimed at waking you up with the sound of freshly cooked bacon.

How to use it: Place a couple of strips of pre-cooked bacon on paper towels in the cooking tray. Set the cook time for 4 minutes. You can then use the tongs to eat your bacon.

While this product may not be real right now, Matty Sallin does tell you how you can make something similar. If you are willing to try it out, please check the source. Would you buy this alarm clock if it was a real product?

Bacon is the type of food that polarizes foodies: it's either the murder of cute piggies or it inspires devout worship. For the latter camp, the new San Francisco food truck, Bacon Bacon Truck, is their bacon dream realized. For those who haven't sampled Bacon Bacon Truck, the menu unsurprisingly utilizes bacon to the max:

"There will be six sandwiches, all made with bacon (though some can be made without): A pork belly and fried egg one, a grilled cheese number, the L.G.B.T (lettuce, goat cheese, bacon and tomato), pork meatball banh mi (featuring bacon in place of the traditional pate), broccoli rabe with bacon, and the requisite “Bacon Bacon Burger.”

    Hello!

    July 21, 2011 by Starscream7

Greetings, to all, I am Starscream7 - and I have a proposition I'd like to offer you all.

I have created a site by the titled The Waffle Man Wiki - and it may need some work. Seeing that we tie up with breakfast items, I wish to ask you all to help contribute to the site, and if you swear allegiance to start editing, I shall let you in on the full storyline - yet for now, only a part.

There are five main plays in the series - which are to be turned into comics and stories. Here they are:

    1. The Waffle Man
    2. The Waffle Man II: Rise of the Butterboy
    3. The Waffle Man III: Waffopalypse
    4. The Waffle Man IV: Return of The Reviver
    5. The Waffle Man V: The Final Batter

Fans of the NBC Show Parks and Recreation, will be ecstatic to see that Trader Joe's is using funny man Ron Swanson to sell their bacon. As can be seen in this photo, Ron Swanson loves his breakfast food. One of the quotes from Season 2 of the show describes his love for breakfast and the fonder sex.

Ron Swanson [while hanging a photo of breakfast food]: I'm a simple man. I like pretty, dark-haired women and breakfast food. But this stock photo I bought at a framing store isn't real. Today I got the real thing. A naked Tammy made me breakfast this morning. I should have taken a picture of it.

There is nothing quite like waking up on a weekend morning to the smell of freshly prepared bacon. Who doesn't love waking up to the sizzling sound of fresh cooking bacon? The wafts of scent coming off this freshly cooked bacon could send one into complete ecstasy. Of course some of us try to be healthy, (at least once in awhile), so we can't always enjoy our bacon.

Luckily for us, one new bacon product has emerged that can help us in these times of need. Bacon Air is supposedly an inhaler like object that will allow users to get a delicious pork smell whenever they want, regardless of their location.

Unfortunately, it appears that this may or may not have been an April Fool's Day joke. It's hard to tell in the world of the bacon. But if thi…

    Bacon On Four Wheels

    July 5, 2011 by Bchwood

Foods Trucks are all the rage at the moment so it's not surprising (and kinda about time) that the latest food on four wheels is the Bacon Bacon Truck.

The truck comes to us from Jim Angelus, former GM at E&O, and will launch in mid-July at Off the Grid. Bacon Bacon will offer six sandwiches, all made with- duh!- bacon: A pork belly and fried egg one, a grilled cheese one (yum!), the L.G.B.T (lettuce, goat cheese, bacon and tomato), pork meatball banh mi (featuring bacon in place of the traditional pate), broccoli rabe with bacon, and, of course, the “Bacon Bacon Burger.”

They will have sides as well, like french fries, fried with rosemary and sage, salted and topped with parmesan (ask for 'em “dirty” if you want fried pork belly trimmings).

The United States has president Barack Obama, Canada has prime minister Stephen Harper, Great Britain has Queen Elizabeth II, and now the Internet has it's own bacon royalty. The website King of the Web ran a month-long contest to determine who should be the Internet Bacon King. The contest looked open in the beginning, but quickly two top dogs emerged from the pack. Formica Dinette & JarebFoosh quickly established their dominance in their creation of bacon obsessed designs. They created designs such as the "Bacon Bra," "The Weave," and even worked together to form the "Bacon Mustache Dog Bra."

In the end though, nearly 7000 votes went to Formica Dinette and she was declared the Bacon King (though maybe it should be renamed Bacon Queen). Fo…

Earlier this week, on Sunday to be exact, nearly 500 bacon crazed fanatics decided to head over to the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. At the Julia Morgan a fierce and competitive war was fought all in the name of pork as five local chefs were given a whole pig that they then had to butcher and prepare in different ways. The five chefs were David Bazirgan of Fifth Floor, Matthew Accarrino of SPQR, Ravi Kapur of Prospect, Brandon Jew of Bar Agricole and David Varley of Michael Mina. Unlike previous years, the judges were allowed to freely roam the contest and listen to the chefs.

Matthew Accarino rallied his team to make testa pastrami with blood-laced black bread, stuffed foot with lentil puree, but like all true chefs he saved his …
