I found a ship made of bacon and i thought i'd share it with you all

Only absolute idiots and baffoons don't love bacon.We shall reign. We are the bacon-lovers. There shall be peace and tranquility within us.We must not battle among ourselves, or our numbers shall fall. We must save ourselves to push back the real enemies. THE VEGETARIANS. They have been a threat to meat-lovers everywhere for centuries. I am surprised we have not destroyed them yet. We must form and alliance with all the other meat-lovers of the land. WE in particular must use our online skills to push them back. The internet is powerful, very powerful. We can do great things here, and we must. Anyone who doesn't help shall be shunned. They shall lose rank, respect, honor, and friends. Everybody needs to pitch in. I mean it.

Think about what it would be like without bacon. No crispy, fatty, juicy, bacon. I mean, what would we do without it? I don't think I could even eat breakfast without it. It is that good. I just wouldn't be able to do it. Eating breakfast without bacon is a dishonor to bacon! EAT BACON!!!

Bacon-lovers are often meat lovers in other ways, too. I know I like a warm, juicy roast turkey on Thanksgiving. Wrap that sucker in a basket-weave-style layer of bacon and you're making the most delicious bird Thanksgiving has ever seen.

We found this recipe here at the Runaway Spoon and I must say, this seems like the coolest thing a bacon lover could ever make for Thanksgiving.

It's easy to declare oneself a bacon lover, but do you truly qualify? Do you eat it for breakfast every morning? In your sandwiches at lunch? Have you invented at least 3 new ways to consume bacon? Foods Trucks are all the rage at the moment so it's not surprising (and kinda about time) that the latest food on four wheels is the Bacon Bacon Truck.

The truck comes to us from Jim Angelus, former GM at E&O, and will launch in mid-July at Off the Grid. Fans of competitive eating, shows like Man vs. Food, or just good plain fun should get ready for the upcoming San Francisco Bacon Takedown, which is presented by The Takedown. The SF Bacon Takedown will take place on July 10th starting at noon at the The Thirsty Bear. The Takedown is still looking for people to get into this competition and are willing to offer up to 15 pounds of Hormel Black Label Bacon.

If you are not familiar with The Takedown, it is a site that began in 2003 in New York and has since spread out. When we do bacon at our house we use three options:

1. Fry in a pan with boiling water that has apple cider vinegar added, then pour it off and fry for remaining five or so minutes.

2. Bake in the oven until crisp.

3. Just simple frying pan but pour off all the fat.

The United States has president Barack Obama, Canada has prime minister Stephen Harper, Great Britain has Queen Elizabeth II, and now the Internet has it's own bacon royalty. The website King of the Web ran a month-long contest to determine who should be the Internet Bacon King. The contest looked open in the beginning, but quickly two top dogs emerged from the pack. Formica Dinette & JarebFoosh quickly established their dominance in their creation of bacon obsessed designs. They created designs such as the "Bacon Bra," "The Weave," and even worked together to form the "Bacon Mustache Dog Bra."

Hi guys, I just added a recipe for Candied Bacon. This wiki is amazing!

I often find myself pondering how I can get more bacon into my life. The best answer I came up with is to be hooked up to a tube of concentrated bacon extract... Short of that drastic measure, I suppose I could attend events dedicated to my favorite cut of pork!

Pot and Pantry recently held one such, bacon inspired, event called Meat Madness in San Fancisco, CA! The bacon extravaganza displayed local artist, Alyson Thomas', pig themed works of art. While expectations seemed low, the event was a success with one hundred attendees! Check out photos from the exhibit below!

Earlier this week, on Sunday to be exact, nearly 500 bacon crazed fanatics decided to head over to the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. At the Julia Morgan a fierce and competitive war was fought all in the name of pork as five local chefs were given a whole pig that they then had to butcher and prepare in different ways. The five chefs were David Bazirgan of Fifth Floor, Matthew Accarrino of SPQR, Ravi Kapur of Prospect, Brandon Jew of Bar Agricole and David Varley of Michael Mina. Unlike previous years, the judges were allowed to freely roam the contest and listen to the chefs.
